Join Chris in North Carolina for long weekend of scuba diving in the "Graveyard of the Atlantic."
Morehead City, North Carolina: July 7-11, 2026
Dive into one of the most legendary and awe-inspiring stretches of ocean on the East Coast. This July, we’re heading to Morehead City, North Carolina, home to warm Gulf Stream waters, world-class visibility, breathtaking marine life, and the historic shipwrecks that earned the region its famous title: The Graveyard of the Atlantic.
This region also holds a special place in Blue Crew history—it's where Chris first cut his teeth as a young wreck diver and eventual Tec diver back in the 1990s. These waters shaped the diver, instructor, and leader he would become. Now, he’s returning to share the same excitement, challenge, and sense of discovery with the next generation of Blue Crew adventurers.
Explore iconic wrecks like the U-352, Aeolus, Spar, and many more. Each site offers incredible structure, atmosphere, and access to some of the most thrilling shark encounters in North America. Morehead City's offshore wrecks are famous for their prolific marine life, especially the slow-cruising, photogenic sand tiger sharks that glide effortless circles around the wrecks—an underwater experience you’ll never forget.
Join Chris on this trip as part of Blue Crew’s “Dive for the Love of It” season and reconnect with the pure joy of exploration that drives everything we do.
And while you're here—don’t forget to ask Chris about Tom’s first encounter with a shark a few years back. It’s a story best told on a surface interval.
Secure your spot now—spaces for Morehead City’s prime shark season fill fast!
