Join us for an unforgettable family adventure to Dominica, known as the Nature Island of the Caribbean. With lush rainforests, waterfalls, volcanic landscapes, and beautiful Caribbean waters, Dominica offers an opportunity to experience a side of the Caribbean that feels a world away from the typical resort vacation.

Our home for the week will be the oceanfront Fort Young Hotel in Roseau, giving us easy access to both the water and the island's many adventures.

Whether your family includes experienced divers, new divers, or family members who prefer to stay above the surface, there will be plenty to explore.

Diving in Dominica

Dominica's underwater landscape was shaped by the same volcanic activity that created the island. The result is a unique mix of walls, pinnacles, reefs, and underwater volcanic features.

Highlights include:

• Champagne Reef, where volcanic gases bubble up through the seafloor

• Dramatic walls and pinnacles filled with Caribbean marine life

• Opportunities to see seahorses, frogfish, shrimp, turtles, and other unique creatures

• Warm water and visibility that can reach 60–100 feet in summer

• Dive sites that are generally just a short boat ride from the resort

Diving will be available for a range of experience levels, making this a great opportunity for family members to enjoy the underwater world together.

Adventure Beyond the Reef

There is plenty to do when you're not diving. Dominica's interior is covered in rainforest and filled with opportunities to get outside and explore.

Families can choose from activities such as:

• Visiting waterfalls and swimming in natural pools

• Hiking through the rainforest

• Relaxing in natural hot springs

• Exploring Roseau and experiencing local food and culture

• Enjoying time at the hotel and along the waterfront

Not everyone has to choose the same adventure. Families can spend time together or split up for different activities before meeting back up to share the day's stories.
